WHY IS IT SO SPECIAL?

Unlike other farming games, energy is not used in Zombie Island. Instead of energy, the characters rely on brains, which is more zombish. You’ll need brains to chop wood and gather stones in order to build structures and such; and each member of your undead workforce requires a brain in order to get the job done. The main Zombie uses 1 brain too, until it becomes a Human. To get more brains, players can bury their friends and take their brains or simply rent some brains. Some premium zombies, such as Elvis’ Brigade, don’t need brains to wok. In total, there are about 30 different zombie-workers, let alone various Zombie-roulettes, Your Love, The Beast and other non-player characters.

Zombie Island is not a classic zombie game, either. Its main peculiarity is the main character. It is a friendly and curious Zombie who dreams to become a Human and find his Love. Zombie Island is by far the most peaceful, cute, and friendly game about zombies.

WHAT’S THE CREAM OF THE CROP?

The main idea of the game states “Help Zombie Become a Human!” Once your Zombie becomes a Human, he gets his own brain, so other zombies cannot bury him anymore, yet his outlook of a zombie doesn’t change.

As the player progresses in the game, there appear new features, such as new territories, fresh quests and upgraded buildings. Besides a standard farming gameplay (growing and selling crops), the player can complete tasks, collect sets, cook recipes, and turn items into something completely different.

Since the end of 2013 there also exists a new, completely different gameplay: pirates vs. townsmen. It gives the players a possibility to travel to pirate islands in search of pirate treasures (such as Dead Man’s chest, scrolls, vases, skulls, etc.), form crews with their friends, and communicate with one another in pirate chats.

The undying interest for the game can be explained by weekly updates each of which expands the concept of the common Zombie world. Zombie Island reacts to all international events, such as holidays, sporting events, even scientific discoveries. Every such event brings new items into the game: buildings, decorations, and valuables. Most of new features introduced are based on the players’ ideas and suggestions.
